Dhaka’s films new two face ABM Sumon and Prosun Azad starring the new bangle movie “Ocena Hridoy” released on October 18^th 2014. This is going to be a combination of the firstmovie was released. To debut as director with thismovie and ShafiqulIslam Mithu Khan.

Sporshia wants a rock-star roll

Newcomer Sporshia is about to appear in a villainous role for the upcoming TV play “Prem Ashe Prem Jay.”

She prefers to be known as an actor over a model. Sporshia states, "Acting is my passion and I want to establish myself in the field."

In Sporshia's short career she has been cast in diverse roles. Amomg them all, she adores her role as Aneeka of “Ujan Ganger Naiya. Her dream role would be to be cast as a rockstar.

When asked about her job satisfaction, Sporshia replied, "People believe that working in the film industry is very hard, whereas it is far better than what they portray it to be."

Sporshia currently finished shooting a drama titled “Prem Ashe Prem Jay” directed by Mahfuz Ahmed. It will be aired during Eid on Channel i. She hassigned with Redoan Rony for the upcoming Eid. Besides three serials of hers are being aired, including BBC Media Action’s “Ujan Ganger Naiya” on BTV, “Icche Ghuri” on NTV and “Amader Choto Nodi” on Channel i. Another new serial titled “Family Pack” will be aired next month on NTV.

Orchita Sporshia came to the spotlight modeling for Parachute and Airtel. She is now pursuing her education in Media Studies and Journalism in ULAB.

Riaz-Nipun coupled on Ferdous’s play

Bangladeshi popular Tv & Film actor Ferdous Ahmed has written script of a TV play for the first time. He has written the script for the play ‘Confusion’. The play has been made by Abir Khan under Ferdous’ own production house Cinemascope. ‘Confusion’ has been made to air on Banglavision on the occasion of ensuing Eid-ul-Fitr.

Popular actor Riaz and Popular film actress Nipun acted as pair in two lead roles in this play. Riaz and Nipun acted in role of husband-wife in the play. Shooting of the play was wrapped up in the city’s Uttara area on Tuesday.

Ferdous said In fact, the story of ‘Confusion’ is like that which story remain unfinished till its ending. It’s theme was liked by me so that I have shown keen interest to write its script. I was a student of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism in Dhaka University. I think as a student of the department, I must have a habit of writing story.

Riaz said, Ferdous story-telling was attracted me. It is also pleasure that I have worked under my friend’s production and script. Nipun also acted well in the play.

Nipun told, I have worked with Riaz bhai and Ferdous bhai in the big screen. Though it was my first play with both of them to get the scope to act together at a time, working environment of Confusion was friendly. I have really enjoyed working with them. I hope viewers will also enjoy the play.

Dhaka guy meets Kolkata beauty

Shakib Khan will be romancing Tollywood actor Nusrat Jahan in P A Kajol's upcoming film “Dhakar Chele Kolkatar Meye.”
As the title suggests, it is a romantic story between a guy from Dhaka and a girl from Kolkata. Childhood friends, the duo were separated when Nusrat's family move and they fall out of touch. After a decade or so, Shakib goes to Kolkata on business and by the hand of fate, he bumps into his childhood sweetheart among the sea of strangers in the mega city. At first they fail to recognise each other but as soon as they discover their true identity, they fall in love.

“Shakib and Nusrat gave vocal confirmation for working in the movie and both are excited to be a part of a film that covers both the Bengals,” said P A Kajol to Dhaka Tribune.

The director said that the film will be a co-production and an Indian production house is in the midst of signing a contract with Bangladeshi “Ma Cholochitro” for producing the movie.

Bappi to replace Shakib

The male lead will be playing a passionate lover who is madly in love with Mim -

Shakib was recently roped into a film that paired him up with Bidya Sinha Mim in “Dream Girl.” But later, he gave several excuses regarding his decision to back off from the film by citing his busy schedule and refused the offer by director Shafiuddin Shafi.

Rumour mills are buzzing with the news that  the Dhallywood megastar is not only sharing on-screen chemistry with the leggy beauty Apu Biswas, but also having an off-screen camaraderie with his leading lady. It has also been speculated that Apu did not want to share her man with Mim and that is why Shakib backed off from “Dream Girl.”

To find out the real reason behind Shakib's refusal, Dhaka Tribune caught up with the director who said: “Shakib cannot find time for the film. But we are still hoping for his green signal.”

When we expressed our curiosity about the actor replacing Shakib, the director promptly replied: “At present, Bappi Chowdhury and Shakib are the only contenders. If Shakib cannot make it, Bappi will take over.”

About casting Bappi, Shafiuddin said: “Bappi's quintessential lover-boy image will do justice to the script.”

The story is about a girl who comes from abroad and looks for an eligible bachelor to tie the knot. The male lead will be playing a passionate lover who is madly in love with Mim.

“Every man dreams of having a beautiful girl in his life. Mim is a deserving actor for the role of 'Dream Girl,'” added the director.

The shooting of the film will start from November and the director hopes to release it on Valentine's day next year.

Hridoy's album launch turns into a headache

On June 7, a huge crowd of Hridoy Khan fans gathered infront of Besty Music at Bashundhara City for the launch of his third solo album “Bhalo Lage Na.” Since the management of the event were not expecting such a huge turnover of fans, the situation soon got out of control and the singer was taken inside the shop and the shutters were closed in a hurry to the disappointment of the fans. The two-hour rendezvous among the singer and his fans was also cancelled.



The album consists of 10 tracks of various genres and Hridoy Khan worked on the musical arrangement and tune of the numbers. S A Haque Alik, Rabiul Islam Jibon and Gunjan Rahman are the song writers among others.

Hridoy Khan gained popularity in 2008 with the album “Hridoy Mix.” His first solo album “Bolna” was released in 2009 and “Chhowa” came out in 2011. In between, he released two more mixed albums under the “Hridoy Mix” series. A composer, he was also a playback for a number of films including “Chorabali,” “Most Welcome,” “Amar Praner Priya” and “Television.”

“Bhalo Lage Na” is being released under the banner of Laser Vision. The album is sponsored by mobile phone operator Robi.
